Age of Revolt is the musical persona of seasoned DJ / producer and Ljubljana native Jakob Bekš (a.k.a. 198319831983 / TPROACH), focusing on tougher grooves, distorted drum machine patterns and uninhibited experimentation. An unwavering musical ethos intertwined with sociopolitical commentary has resulted in “Fake Everything” a powerful, sonically dense and unashamedly physical collection of dancefloor-oriented tracks that defy fleeting trends and pierce through the noise of our contemporary era.

“Fake Everything” serves as an admonitory indictment of the disquieting prevalence of manufactured narratives propagated through mainstream media channels and the brandification of the Self, the landscape of curated identities and algorithmic entrapments; a socio-cultural paradigm catalyzed by the ascendancy of social media platforms. In an era marked by the proliferation of deepfakes, where AI-generated synthetic media is already blurring the line between truth and fiction, the message resonates with heightened relevance.

Through relentless drums and hypnotic repetition interspersed with dissonant noises and jarring interruptions, the music mirrors the relentless onslaught of misinformation and distraction that besieges us daily. It invites the listener to rise above the labyrinthine terrain of cognitive dissonance that pervades the collective consciousness and illuminate the veiled veneers of digital personhood and consented reality.
